Ambassador Centres - Activities and Accommodation

Ambassador Centres are working in partnership with the Peak District National Park primarily to deliver a commitment for youngsters to learn more about the UK’s original National Park, how to care for it and how to inspire others about the area’s special qualities. However, a number of them also offer instruction and training in outdoor activities, available to the public. In addition others offer catered and self-catering accommodation for groups, families and individuals.

Our Ambassador Centres have received training and resources from our staff here at the Park, allowing them to increase their knowledge of the Park and to help us to deliver our main purposes:

  1. conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Peak District
  2. promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the Peak District's special qualities

Staff at Ambassador Centres will enhance any visit to the Peak District National Park by not only introducing and leading you in the Park but also informing you about the history, wildlife and landscape that is so special. Staff at Ambassador Centres lead by example, demonstrating best practice. You will find them working hard to minimise their impact, educating their groups on how to preserve and conserve the landscape and wildlife, so the Peak District National Park is around for all to enjoy, forever.  Staff will inform visitors on how to visit independently and responsibly, giving advice on the best places to visit, tailored to your interests. The Ambassador Centres are also working to become more environmentally friendly as centres; whether that is by reducing their use of plastic, or working to use renewable energy sources. You will often find staff from our Ambassador Centres taking action to look after the Park on their staff volunteer days.

Why not support our Ambassador Centres and enhance your visit to the Peak District National Park by booking your course or accommodation with them?
