Countryside Plans

Woodland, heather moorland and grassland separated by dry stone wall

The Peak District National Park Authority works in partnership to balance conservation and recreation.

Our partners are landowners or land managers (for example The National Trust, the Water Companies, Forestry Commission, the farming community) and other people and organisations with an interest in the land (local authorities, parish councils, government agencies and user groups).

Together we produce management plans and strategies to safeguard the National Park for future generations to enjoy. Working together ensures a coordinated approach to land management, conservation activities and provision of recreation opportunities.
