Opening hours over Christmas & New Year

Aldern House (main office in Bakewell)

Aldern House will be closed to the public from 25th December 2024 until 2nd January 2025.

The building will be open for staff and tenants on 27th, 30th and 31st December, but reception will not be staffed.

Our Customer Service line - 01629 816200 (9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday) - will be open except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Visitor centres

Bakewell

• Open daily from 10am to 4.30pm
• Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day
• From January 2025 open daily from 10am to 4pm

Castleton

• Open daily from 10am to 4.30pm
• Open Christmas Eve 10am to 3pm
• Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day
• From January 2025 open daily from 10am to 4.30pm

Derwent

• Open weekdays from 10am to 3.30pm
• Open weekends and bank holidays from 9.30am to 4.30pm (closed 30 mins for lunch)
• Closed Christmas Day

Edale

• Open 27 December to 1 January 2025 (10am to 3pm weekdays, 9.30am to 4pm weekends)
• Also open 11 January 2025 (9.30am to 4pm) for the Winter Spine Race

Bike hire centres

Ashbourne

• Open every Sunday throughout December
• Also open 27th, 30th, and 31st December
• Closed in January, re-opens 10th February 2025

Derwent

• Open every Saturday and Sunday throughout December
• Also open 27th, 30th and 31st December
• Closed in January, re-opens 10th February 2025

Parsley Hay

• Open every Saturday throughout December
• Closed in January, re-opens 10th February 2025

Campsites

North Lees

• Closed from lunchtime 23 December to lunchtime 27 December - you can camp the night of 22 December and then again from 27 December, the campsite is open the rest of the time for bookings.
