Tree felling in Taddington Dale alongside the A6 road

Contractors working for the Peak District National Park Authority will be removing diseased ash trees from Taddington Dale, alongside the A6 road, at the end of January into February.
The work will start on Monday 23 January and will continue on weekdays through to Friday 10 February.
During this three week period, there will be a one-lane closure, with temporary two-way traffic lights on one lane of the carriageway, in 200 metre sections, to carry out removal of diseased ash trees.
The work is taking place alongside the A6 on the road verge areas between Main Road into Taddington and White Lodge Car Park, with lane closure needed for machinery and removal of trees from site.
There will be short periods of delay with red lights at either or both ends, when required, to ensure safe felling and processing of the trees.
The lane-closure will be in place between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30, Monday to Friday, from 23 January through to 10 February.
The work is essential for safety to remove trees that are severely affected by ash dieback disease and in falling distance of the road.
