Directions

Start at The Old Stores (Road) just before St. Anne’s church and head left down a short set of steps. Turn left briefly along the road, then right taking the first footpath ahead of the Anglers Rest pub. This first section of path can be wet. Cross two footbridges, the second larger one crossing the River Wye.
At the far bank head left steeply uphill, taking care on the limestone in wet weather. This path winds uphill via a dogleg before reaching the Monsall Trail. Turn right and follow the trail for about 300 metres.
Just before the viaduct turn left up a short set of steps following the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust concession path until you reach the base of limekilns. Turn right, ignoring the steps ahead and follow the path into the woods around Millers Dale Quarry, passing by the side of a gate as you enter the area.
Follow this path as it heads slowly downhill through the beautiful woodland. You’ll soon see Blackwell Dale Road (B6049) ahead of you, head directly to the road, ignoring the very steep set of steps to your left. At the road you re-join the main Limestone Way by heading left, taking care on the short remaining section of road. Enjoy the rest of the Limestone Way!
